Founded in Kingston Ontario in 2014, Essentia Solutions started as a sole proprietorship. Now a multi-faceted "family" owned and operated corporation, Essentia Solutions General Contracting Inc (ESCGI) works with developers and businesses in and around the Kingston area to bring Kingstonians brand new or newly renovated affordable  dwelling units as well as custom designs and builds in commercial spaces all around. 

Fairness in pricing and pay is key to business success and satisfaction rates. Competitive rates, lower overhead costs and a stringent low/no-waste approach to material handling and installation ensure that the end product is priced fairly for the consumers. Wages and compensation for sub-contractors increase with cost of living and rate increases. All ESGCI family (staff) are now either part owners or shareholders. 

Scope of Work

• Building Envelope Systems -

  • • Air and vapour membranes such as Henry Bakor Blueskin and Tyvec/Typar products on exterior applications, incidental spray foams and polyethylene sheets on interior applications

    • Foundation wrap and drainage boards such as Delta MS, Resisto, and other drainage and waterproofing products.

    • Insulation - batt, rigid foam, blown-in, incidental spray foam. (We do not do large scale spray foam.)

• Exterior and Interior Wall Systems - 

  • • Siding and stone systems

    • Drywall/gypsum/fibreglass panels, tile walls

    • SIP, curtain walls

• Flooring and Decking Systems - 

  • • Tile, Hardwood, Engineered hardwood, Stone pressed composites, luxury vinyl plank/tile, 

    • Composite decking, cedar and PT decking, 

    • Tempered glass railings

• Framing, Building, Fabricating - 

  • • Forming and rebar laying for various concrete work, concrete repairs and touch ups

    • Framing or reframing walls and roofs, 

    • Building furniture, bars and bar tops, cabinetry, shelving, 

• Planning, Designing -  

  • • Designing, drawings (stamped by retained engineer), 3D renderings

    • Working with city and regulatory inspectors, pulling permits and notifications of work

    • Material take-offs, ordering and handling, costing and budgeting

    • Project SOP, timelines, flow charts 

    • Project management
